After looking at everybody’s projects that they completed this semester, I saw many that I really enjoyed. There were some amazing traditional essays and some amazing creative non-essays. One of my favorite projects was Mike Gill’s sonnet because it was his first attempt at a sonnet and I liked that he found the courage to go out of his comfort zone, something I wish I was able to do. I also enjoyed how he made it personal to himself and that he mentioned that writing poetry and writing, in general, is something that can help you get through one’s emotions. I think this is why many people enjoy writing because it is a process that helps to get all emotions out, and there is no right or wrong answer. I remember in Middle school we did a whole project on poems and wrote about 10 different ones and it honestly did help to get my feelings out.
