Reflection November 3rd

American Moor is a book I find hard to put into words. It showed me a side of Shakespeare and acting I doubt I would regularly see anywhere else and what inkling of understanding I received on his treatment from reading will stick with me. American Moor was even better seeing him do readings getting to see how he expressed during parts that I had read changed how I saw the text.

“A little white man is asking me if I have any questions about being a large black man”

Keith Hamilton Cobb

Hearing how he said this showed me that the tone I should read the book is not entirely of anger but more so disappointment. He is disappointed that he was asked this.
