When watching the Green Knight I constantly think about directors choices. From lighting, to scene cuts, just the whole thing. This movie honestly received worse reviews then I expected, considering Film wise, I think it’s a piece of art. One of my favorite parts which feels disconnected from the original poem is just how the world responds to him. Like the wildness is it’s own entity that does what it wants, and yet, it cannot help but to help him. The beginning imagery always gets me, how allusive it is, yet you know this character fears losing his head, aye- his name, his legacy, which meant so much back then.
