What does Victor think about Humanity?

I always wondered what was going on in Victor Frankenstein’s head. He believed that he could be a god by creating man, but is it really a man? Or is it soul? I want to know what Victor thinks of humanity, of souls, of thoughts and ideas. To Victor, he is piecing together a person, from many other people. Would the thoughts from the brain he chose to bring to life, be that of the brain and the previous owner? Or would it create a new soul altogether? I think Victor only thought of creating life, not what life he was creating. 

Is Victor a clockwork god?

We spoke about this briefly in class. I knew that Victor wanted to create life, and unbeknown to him would make him a sort of “god” especially in that time period when religion played a large part in the concept of creating life. He was denied many things because he wanted to create life and was constantly told that only God has that ability. This leads me to believe that even though Victor isn’t a god, by definition, he could possibly be labeled a clockwork god. Someone who creates life, in this story the creature, and lets it go into the world without caring about the consequences.
